For our new patients at Onkaulogy Kombine, here are a few things we would like you to keep in mind, in case any doubts or hesitations may arise while approaching a surgical oncology centre.

First Steps:
A few things you will have to do and know about before you meet us.

Make an appointment:
Whether you are diagnosed with cancer or it is a close friend or relation, anyone can call us to make an appointment.

You do not have to worry about any referrals from other doctors to consult our team at Onkaulogy Kombine.

When you first call us, our patient service representatives will speak to you and ask you about your diagnosis, if any. This is done in order to understand which kind of specialist you need to see first. You can state all your concerns to them, our representatives are here to just help you out.

Cancers we treat:
Our team of doctors at Onkaulogy Kombine are highly experienced in diagnosing and treating all forms of cancer.

    We can help you out if:

  • you have been diagnosed with a cancer that is aggressiveor difficult to treat
  • surgery is necessary for the cancer you have, and if
  • you need to determine the type of cancer and stage it

Onkaulogy Kombine will help you identify specific characteristics of the cancer and help determine which treatments or combination of treatments will be most effective to cure or control it. Our doctors use the latest clinical technologies and are highly respected and relied on, in their fields.

Health Insurance:
We accept most major health insurance plans.If you have any questions about your coverage, our representatives can work with you, your physician, and your insurance company to help you in all ways.

Preparing for your first appointment:
For your first appointment at OnkaulogyKombine, please carry the following:

  • All/ any pathology slides from any previous biopsy or surgical procedures along with a written report.
  • Reports and images of any radiology tests that you have taken. These may include x-rays, MRIs, CT scans, PET scans and bone scans. A written report of these tests will be helpful.
  • A medical summary from your personal doctor(s) in case you had started your cancer treatment before coming to OnkaulogyKombine. If you have visited or consulted a radiation oncologist or have undergone radiation therapy, please carry a doctor’s summary and simulation or port films, if any.
  • A summary from a cardiologist and results from any recent test like stress test or echocardiogram, in case you have had any.

In addition to the above, it is advisable to also bring along

  • All the medication with the dose you take at present. These may include prescriptions by doctors and those you buy over the counter. If you take vitamins or substitutes, please carry those too.

New patients must also carry their

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance and prescription cards. If you are covered by more than one medical insurer, please bring those as well.
    • Some patients might experience anxiety while preparing themselves for their first cancer check appointment. We suggest you write down any question that has been bothering you and bring it along on your first visit. We also encourage bringing along a friend or family member as we understand how important it can be.
